Marzipan Bon Bons Stuffed With Dried Fruits
1 pound pulverized white almonds
½ cup sugar
¼ cup orange juice
Pinch of cinnamon
Filling
1 cup variety of finely cut dried fruits
½ cup apricot jam
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Zest of 1 lemon
Powdered sugar for dusting

In a food processor add the almonds, sugar, orange juice and cinnamon. Process until you make a smooth paste.
Allow paste to rest and remove to a bowl. Mix all filling ingredients. Keep your hands wet in cold water and start making small marzipan balls. Flatten them, fill them with one teaspoon of filling and make small half moon triangles. Throw them in the powder sugar and dust them very well. Place in platter to serve or in airtight container, very dry area, to keep for a few days. You might have to re-dust with powder sugar before serving.| back to recipes' page |
